We need dental therapists in Vermont.

We are advocating for increased access to oral health care in Vermont. One Vermonter shared how helpful this will be for her, read her story below:

We are a self-employed family of six—my husband works as a carpenter. We grow our own food and are thrifty in every possible way. Yet, we cannot afford health or dental insurance. Luckily, we have Dr. Dynasaur for our children, but we have to travel a very long way to get the dental care our son needs.

I have been waiting for a campaign like this one for almost 3 years. This has the potential to change so many Vermonters’ lives. We wouldn’t have to spend so much gas money or miss a day of school and/or work in order to keep our son healthy & pain free.

People need to know that it’s not a luxury to have healthy teeth, nor do kids suffer with dental disease because their parents are inherently lazy or stupid. There are a lot of hard-working people who are trying their best but need a helping hand. That starts with increased access to dental care.
